Pendidikan sebagai usaha meningkatkan kualitas hidup manusia baik secaralahiriyah maupun bathiniyah, individu maupun sosial harus dilandaskan padasistem yang terencana dengan baik dan diikuti dengan penerapan kurikulumyang tepat dan benar. Hal itu dimaksudkan agar tercapai tujuan pendidikanyang diinginkan dan sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman. Oleh karena itukeberasilan proses pendidikan sangat tergantung pada kurikulum yangdigunakannya, walaupun tidak menampik pentingnya peranan aspek-aspekpendidikan yang lainnya.Mengingat peranan kurikulum dalam sebuah sistem pendidikan begituvital, maka setiap lembaga pendidikan harus mampu menerapkan sertamensistematikan suatu bentuk kurikulum yang dinilai mampu membawa kepadasuatu kondisi pendidikan yang ideal. Kondisi yang menggambarkan hakekattujuan pendidikan yang sebenarnya dalam membentuk individu yangberkemampuan secara intelektual, skill dan moral serta mampu menunjukkaneksistensinya sebagai sebuah lembaga pendidikan yang mampu bertahan di setiapperkembangan zaman tanpa harus melepas identitas aslinya sebagai lembagapendidikan yang konsisten menjaga tradisi-tradisi lama.
