At-Ta’dib: Journal of Pesantren Education Volume 20 Number 2 (2025) presents a collection of scholarly articles that critically examine the dynamics of pesantren education in the context of tradition, modernity, and educational transformation. This issue explores key themes such as the modernization of pesantren education, integration of faith and knowledge, teachers’ professional learning, curriculum implementation, and character education within Islamic boarding schools. Several articles highlight pedagogical and curricular innovations in pesantren, including foreign language diffusion strategies, CEFR-based Arabic assessment, neuropedagogical approaches, and self-directed learning models informed by both Islamic intellectual heritage and contemporary educational theories. Other contributions focus on strategic educational analysis, moral and character development, and the role of pesantren in shaping students’ religious attitudes and national values.
