Abstract

Berinteraksi dengan pendidikan Islam baik dari systempendidikannya maupun studi keIslaman, akan membawa kitakepada perenungan yang dalam terhadapnya. Pendidikan Islamyang merupakan representasi dari segala bentuk tingkah lakuumat muslim yang dilakukan dalam rangka memperolehkesinambungan, pertahanan dan peningkatan hidup. Sebuah siklusyang bertujuan untuk membangun dan membentuk karakteryang kuat dalam segala segi baik jasmani maupun rohani yangberlandaskan ajaran-ajaran Islam tersebut sudah mulai keluardari tujuan pokok pendidikan Islam itu sendiri.Oleh karena itu diperlukan reorientasi tujuan pendidikanIslam dalam konteks modern saat ini. Sehingga pendidikan Islamakan menemukan nilainya yang selama ini mulai memudar akibatdari perkembangan dan benturan zaman. Untuk itu, tulisan inimencoba untuk menggali kembali konsep pendidikan Islam. Dimana pendidikan Islam harus dilihat dari segala segi kehidupan,sehingga akan terbuka makna yang sesungguhnya dari konseppendidikan Islam itu sendiri. Tidak hanya makna yang realistisyang terlihat secara nyata oleh panca indera, tetapi jugamencakup makna abstrak yang terkandung di dalamnya.
