Abstract

Sebagai sarana komunikasi, bahasa memiliki peran yangsangat besar dalam mentransformasi pemikiran seseorangkepada orang lain baik secara lisan maupun tulisan sehinggadapat dimengerti. penggunaan dan pemahaman bahasa yang baiktelah mewujudkan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dari segalabidang, tidak terkecuali filsafat. Dalam tugas pokoknya, filsufmenggunakan analisis bahasa sebagai sarana untuk menguraikankonsep-konsep filosofis sehingga mudah dipahami danberkembang sesuai dengan peradaban ummat manusia.Untuk menganalisis peranan bahasa dalam perkembanganfilsafat, penulis membagi fase perkembangan filsafat menjadiempat bagian. Dari sinilah dapat diketahui konsep-konsep dankarakter filsafat pada masing-masing zaman. Tentunya memilikiperbedaan dan ciri-ciri tersendiri, walaupun demikian,perkembangan yang terjadi merupakan hasil dari pengembangandan sikap kritis para filsuf terhadap konsep-konsep lama.
