Reviewer Guidelines

The role of a reviewer is very important in maintaining high standards of quality and relevance in the publication of research articles. Please adhere to the following guidelines:

  1. Review Assignments and Conflicts of Interest: After accepting a review assignment from the editor, make sure you have no conflicts of interest that could compromise your objectivity. Refrain from reviewing manuscripts in which you have direct or indirect involvement to maintain impartiality and fairness.
  2. Confidentiality and Privacy: Treat all review materials with the utmost confidentiality, respecting the author's privacy and the integrity of the peer review process. Avoid disclosing any information about the manuscript or the review process without explicit permission from the editorial office.
  3. Constructive Feedback and Encouragement: Provide constructive criticism, suggestions and recommendations to the author aimed at improving the quality and clarity of his work. Encourage authors to address identified weaknesses and make necessary revisions to improve their manuscripts.
  4. Timeliness and Compliance with Standards: Complete your review within the time frame specified by the editor to ensure timely processing of the manuscript. Evaluate manuscripts based on scientific principles, ensuring compliance with journal standards in terms of methodology, data analysis and interpretation.
  5. Evaluate Revised Manuscript: Review the revised manuscript to assess whether the authors have responded adequately to previous feedback and revised their work as appropriate. Provide feedback to guide authors in further improving the quality and accuracy of their manuscripts.
  6. Recommendations: Based on your assessment of the manuscript, please provide recommendations to the editor regarding its suitability for publication in EDUCAN: JOURNAL OF ISLAMIC EDUCATION. Recommendations may include acceptance, revision with major/minor changes, or rejection, accompanied by justification for your decision.
