Fountain of Informatics Journal was established on 26 October 2016. On October 28, 2016, get ISSN print (2541-4313), and on December 8, 2016, get ISSN online (2548-5113) from the Indonesian Institute of Science (LIPI). The first issue was published in November 2016 with an editor from Universitas Darussalam Gontor except one from UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, the reviewer comes from six National Universities such as Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang, Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Surabaya, Universitas Brawijaya Malang, Universitas Nahdlotul Ulama Sidoarjo, Universitas Surabaya, and Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo. All article has Digital Object Identifier (dx.doi.org/10.21111/fij) by crossref since the first issue, This Journal got DOAJ index on July 21, 2017. This Journal was removed from DOAJ on January 7, 2019, with reason the Journal does not adhere to Best practices (when proposing DOAJ SEAL). Alhamdulillah, On March 30, 2020, FIJ is again indexed DOAJ.sinta32027

Frequency: Published online two times a year at the beginning of the year (May) and at the end of the year (November).

Starting in January 2025, FIJ charges an Article Publication Fee of IDR 500,000. The fee is paid after the article is accepted.
