Abstrak Kecerdasan dalam berkomunikasi berkaitan dengan sopan dalam menyampaikan pesan, memiliki toleransi dan saling membantu dalam segala hal. Tindakan ini bisa dilihat pada perilaku positif pegawai di FISIPOL Universitas Kristen Indonesia.Tujuan penelian yaitu (a) untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis komunikasi pegawai FISIPOL UKI yang berbeda agama Kristen dan Islam dan (b) strategi komunikasi pegawai pegawai FISIPOL UKI yang berbeda agama Kristen dan Islam untuk mengatasi berita negatif tentang ujaran kebencian melalui media. Metode penelitian menggunakan jenis kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan bahwa proses komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh pegawai FISIPOL Universitas Kristen Indonesia ditunjukkan dalm hal yang positif yaitu seperti saling bertegur sapa, bertoleransi, menggunakan pesan-pesan yang sopan dalam berbicara, tidak saling menyinggung agama meskipun ujaran kebencian melalui media sosial dan media massa sering terpublikasi. Selanjutnya, adanya tindakan rektor yang mengajak seluruh pegawai Islam dan Kristen untuk buka puasa bersama di UKI. Tindakan positif yang lain yaitu pihak UKI kemudian memberikan dana bantuan Gempa dan Tsunami untuk masyarakat Palu dan Donggala yang mayoritas beragama Islam. Tulisan ini direkomendasikan untuk bisa berkembang menjadi sebuah buku yang bermanfaat untuk orang lain.AbstractIntelligence in communication is related to being polite in conveying messages, having tolerance and helping each other in all matters. This action can be seen in the positive behavior of employees at the Indonesian Christian University's FISIPOL. The purpose of the study is (a) to describe and analyze the communication of UKI FISIPOL employees who are different from Christianity and Islam and (b) communication strategies of employees of FISIPOL UKI employees who are different from Christianity and Islam to overcome negative news about hate speech through the media. The research method uses a qualitative type with a case study approach. The results of the study found that the communication process carried out by FISIPOL staff at the Christian University of Indonesia was shown in positive ways, such as exchanging greetings, tolerating, using polite messages in speaking, not offending each other despite religious expressions of hatred through social media and mass media often published. Furthermore, the Chancellor's action invited all Muslim and Christian employees to break the fast together at UKI. Another positive action is that the UKI then provided earthquake and tsunami aid funds to the people of Palu and Donggala who are predominantly Muslim. This paper is recommended to be able to develop into a book that is useful for others. ÂReferences
