PENILAIAN PENDEDAHAN LOGAM BERAT DI KALANGAN PEKERJA KOLAM TERNAKAN UDANG

Pendedahan pekerja terhadap kimia pertanian termasuk logam berat, adalah bahaya pekerjaan biasa dalam penternakan udang, dengan potensi kesan kesihatan akut dan kronik. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menilai kepekatan logam berat yang terpilih—tembaga (Cu), kromium (Cr), zink (Zn), dan plumbum (Pb)—dalam sampel udara peribadi pekerja kolam ternakan udang dan seterusnya membuat penilaian risiko terhadap kesihatan yang melibatkan 10 orang pekerja. Pam pensampelan udara peribadi diletakkan di zon pernafasan pekerja semasa bekerja termasuk pengendalian bahan kimia dan seterusnya sampel udara dianalisis menggunakan Spektrometri Jisim Plasma Gandingan Induktif (ICP-MS). Hasil bagi bahaya (HQ) untuk setiap logam berat menunjukkan ketiadaan risiko karsinogenik yang ketara. Jumlah nilai indeks bahaya (HI) untuk kromium (Cr) ialah 4.14 × 10â»Â³, berada dalam had keselamatan yang dibenarkan manakala anggaran risiko kanser untuk kromium ialah 9.79 × 10â»â¹, iaitu dalam had risiko yang boleh diterima. Kesimpulannya, bahaya bukan karsinogenik dan karsinogenik yang berkaitan dengan pendedahan kepada logam berat ini di kalangan pekerja ladang udang berada dalam ambang yang boleh diterima. Namun begitu, untuk pendedahan jangka masa panjang, terdapat keperluan untuk tambah baik terutama ketika penyimpanan dan penggunaan bahan kimia.Referensi
