Pendidikan anak merupakan hal penting yang tidak bolehhilang dari kita perhatian terhadapnya. Kegiatan ini merupakanupaya mencetak generasi-generasi penerus umat yang kokohpada upaya memegang loyalitasnya sebagai makhluk hidupkepada Rabb-nya. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut dibutuhkansuatu bentuk metodologi pembelajaran yang mengarah secaralangsung pada pembentukan pribadi yang loyal pada agama danumat secara teologis dan humanis.Tulisan ini mencoba membuka khazanah baru dalamkaitannya dengan konsep pendidikan dan pembelajaran anak.Sebuah konsep yang ditawarkan oleh Al- Ghazali yang dimulaidari pembentukan akhlak al-kariimah dalam sistem pembelajarananak sebagai dasar pembentukan umat yang kuat ’ilman, jismandan ruuhan. Disamping itu penulis berupaya menyingkaprelevansi antara konsep pendidikan akhlak menurut Al-Ghazalidan dengan arah dan tujuan pendidikan Nasional Indonesia.
