Abstract

Pembiayaan pendidikan pada dasarnya menitikberatkan pada upayapendistribusian benefit pendidikan dan beban yang harus ditanggungmasyarakat. Biaya secara sederhana adalah sejumlah nilai uang yangdibelanjakan atau jasa pelayanan yang diserahkan pada siswa. Pembiayaanpendidikan berhubungan dengan distribusi beban pajak dalam berbagaijenis pajak kelompok manusia serta metode pengalihan pajak ke sekolah.Hal yang sangat penting dalam pembiayaan pendidikan adalah berupabesar uang yang harus dibelanjakan, dari mana sumber uang yangdiperoleh, dan kepada siapa uang harus dibelanjakan. Pada umumnya,lembaga pendidikan Islam mengalami beberapa kendala terkait denganmanajemen pembiayaan pendidikan. Padahal, dalam Islam, sistempendidikan formal yang diselenggarakan negara, sepenuhnya ditanggungoleh negara (Baitul Mal). Sejarah Islam setidaknya sudah menunjukkan halitu. Maka lembaga pendidikan Islam seharusnya kembali kepada khittahpengelolaan pembiayaan pendidikan sebagaimana sudah dicontohkan olehpara khalifah di kekhilafahan Islam.
