All submitted manuscripts must explicitly engage with the concept of Islamization of knowledge, either through theoretical exploration or applied analysis. Articles should examine how Islamic epistemology, values, or worldview inform, critique, or enrich contemporary academic paradigms. Submissions that present general Islamic studies content without engaging the framework of Islamization may be returned without review.
Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. Manuscripts may be written in Bahasa Indonesia, English, or Arabic. Authors must ensure the use of clear, academic language, and are responsible for linguistic accuracy. Professional proofreading is recommended for non-native speakers.
All references must be authoritative and scholarly, such as journal articles, academic books, classical Islamic texts, and reputable institutional reports. There is no requirement that references be published within the last five years. INJAS prioritizes relevance and scholarly contribution over recency. Classical sources, foundational works, and contemporary Islamic scholarship are all acceptable when contextually justified. Citation and bibliography must follow the Chicago Manual of Style – Full Note (Footnote) system. Authors are encouraged to use reference management tools such as Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote.

Authors must clearly demonstrate how their analysis reflects the Islamization of knowledge. This may include:
Engaging Islamic epistemological principles;
Referencing the Qur’an, Hadith, or classical Islamic scholars in framing or interpreting the topic;
Challenging or re-contextualizing Western paradigms through an Islamic worldview;
Proposing integration models rooted in Islamic intellectual tradition;
Highlighting limitations or weaknesses in existing Islamization practices, referencing relevant paradigms in the Philosophy of Science or Islamic Science.
Failure to articulate the Islamization dimension may result in rejection or requests for major revision.
All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin).
INJAS strictly prohibits plagiarism, data falsification, and any form of unethical research practice. Authors must properly acknowledge all third-party content and assistance.
Submissions must be made through our online system or by direct email to the journal managers (not the editorial board).
All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review.
The typical review process takes 6–8 weeks.
Authors should note that a paper cannot be withdrawn under any circumstances once it has been accepted, except in cases that fall under our Post-Publication Review Policy.
