Abstract

The transformation of pesantren administration systems through digitalization is a strategic step to enhance the efficiency of education management in traditional educational institutions. Pesantren, which has traditionally relied on conventional administrative methods, faces challenges in optimally managing data, information, and communication in the digital era. This study aims to examine the role of digitalization in improving the efficiency, transparency, and accuracy of data management, as well as how this innovation facilitates decision-making and enhances educational services in pesantren. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the study analyzes the challenges and potential of implementing digital administration systems in pesantren. The findings reveal that the digitalization of pesantren administration has revolutionized education management by introducing efficiency, transparency, and accountability, despite infrastructure, human resources, and cultural resistance challenges. Through training, technical assistance, and strengthened communication, eight digital transformation models, such as electronic payment systems and communication platforms, have successfully supported the creation of a modern pesantren digital ecosystem.
