Abstrak

This research discusses the CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) approach to language learning in the UNIDA Gontor matriculation program. This approach is designed to provide a variety of new learning styles by integrating various contents to develop the target languages, namely Arabic and English. With this approach, students not only learn the language but also understand current topics, which ultimately supports the goal of Islamic education in mastering language as an effective tool of da'wah. This research uses qualitative methods, with data obtained through direct observation, interviews, and document analysis. The results showed that the program succeeded in significantly improving students' Arabic and English language skills, especially in the aspects of grammar, vocabulary, and critical thinking. Despite challenges, such as time constraints and variations in students' initial ability levels, the study recommends adjusting the curriculum and enhancing learning styles to maximize program outcomes. The CLIL approach can be used as an effective model for similar programs in higher education institutions, especially those focusing on holistic education.
