Abstract
A fun, active and meaningful learning atmosphere for students needs to be created by applying an active learning model for students, namely the talking stick learning model. This type of research is quasi-experimental. This study aims to determine the effect of the talking stick learning model on student learning activity. The sample used in this study was class VII D with a total of 35 students consisting of 9 boys and 26 girls at MTs Sabilal Akhyar Kwala Begumit. The data from this research is in the form of student learning activeness obtained by using the student learning activeness questionnaire instrument. Based on the research data obtained ð‘¡â„Žð‘–ð‘¡ð‘¢ð‘›ð‘” = 8.28 while ð‘¡ð‘¡ð‘Žð‘ð‘’ð‘™ = 2,000 (dk = 58). Thus ð‘¡count > ð‘¡ð‘¡ð‘Žð‘le (8.28 > 2,000). This means that there is an influence of the talking stick learning model on student learning activity.
