Pesantren education, as a traditional Islamic educational institution with a long history, remains a key pillar in Indonesia’s Islamic education system. However, in the millennial era, pesantren face challenges that demand adaptation and transformation. This article explores the ideal format for positioning the philosophy of pesantren education to stay relevant amid social, technological, and cultural shifts. The study emphasizes the importance of inclusivity and integration in pesantren methods. Pesantren must combine traditional approaches with modern ones, including integrating educational technology, developing curricula responsive to contemporary issues, and utilizing modern teaching methods. These efforts aim to meet globalization and technological advancements without compromising pesantren's core values. The article further examines the transformation of pesantren philosophy towards a more inclusive, integrative paradigm. Pesantren are urged to preserve noble values passed down by scholars while embracing contemporary developments. This shift involves developing comprehensive character education, inclusive learning methods, and producing graduates with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills to navigate globalization and change. Repositioning the philosophy of pesantren education in this era requires balancing tradition with new, relevant approaches. Thus, pesantren will not only maintain their significance but also emerge as proactive agents of change, adaptive to future challenges
