PANCA JIWA PESANTREN SEBAGAI WUJUD INTERNALISASI NILAI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER GUNA MEREALISASIKAN FUTURE RELIGION DI TENGAH GEJOLAK ERA VUCA

In the midst of the turmoil of the VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity) era, society faces various challenges that test the resilience of spiritual and moral values. Pesantren as an Islamic educational institution in Indonesia has an ideal foundation called ‘Panca Jiwa,’ which includes five core values: sincerity, simplicity, self-sufficiency, ukhuwah Islamiyah, and freedom. These values play a fundamental role in building the character of santri, which is expected to be a spiritual and moral solution in the VUCA era. The five souls of pesantren become a barn to realise the Future Religion in the midst of the turmoil of the VUCA era. This study aims to analyse how the implementation of the Panca Jiwa pesantren can contribute to the internalisation of character education values, which in turn plays an important role in realising the concept of Future Religion, which is a religion that is relevant, adaptive, and strong in facing the challenges of the times. This research method uses a qualitative approach with literature study techniques. The results showed that the Five Souls of pesantren play an important role in shaping superior character, making santri able to adapt and take a role in a plural and dynamic society. The implementation of these values strengthens the character of santri in spiritual and social aspects, making them agents of change in creating peace, harmony, and social stability.
