Abstract

Writing is one of important skill in Arabic learning. There is writing evaluation in Arabic learning for knowing students progress. Writing evaluation is a part which in whole can not be separated from teaching activity. The renewel curriculum is Independent Learning (Merdeka Belajar) that introduced by the Ministry of Education and Culture Nadiem Makarim. This curriculum must be implemented in writing evaluation process. So, this research focused on seeing the concept of Arabic writing evaluation implementation based on Independent Learning curriculum. The method used is qualitative descriptive approach. This research use Miles and Huberman theory for analyzing data. The result of research show that the implementation of Arabic writing evaluation use authentic assessment which has accordance with independent learning principle.
