Abstract [A Contact Angle Measurement Application For Hydrophobic Materials Using The React Native Framework] Contact angle is an important parameter for determining the hydrophobicity level of a material. In addition, the contact angle can provide information regarding surface energy, roughness, and heterogeneity of a material. Hydrophobicity is a material characteristic that significantly impacts the implementation of advanced materials to support current technological innovations. Precise contact angle measurement is essential to obtain accurate values. However, manual contact angle measurement is still commonly found in individual and general research settings due to limited equipment and access. This study aims to develop a mobile application that can measure contact angles more easily by utilizing software built with the JavaScript programming language using the React Native framework (v.0.73.4) and Expo (v.50.0.14), adopting the Agile methodology. The method used in this contact angle measurement application is static contact angle measurement using a water droplet system with a circular fitting approach. The results of black box testing showed a significant accuracy of 87.5%, with minor issues in PDF storage when using the image capture feature via the gallery. Furthermore, the developed application includes a video feature and a time indicator, which are not available in existing applications. The User Acceptance Testing (UAT) results reached 89%, indicating a relatively successful outcome for the development of the MyAngleMeter application. This research is expected to serve as one of the solutions to facilitate users operationally, while offering better accuracy compared to manual measurements.
