Abstract

 Abstract: The 12-year compulsory education policy, which was established starting in 2012, makes the education aspect a major concern for the community. This is evidenced by the state budget of 20% for the purposes of supporting the advancement of education. The amount of the budget requires appropriate management to improve the quality of education. This research explores the study of theories and results in the field on how to explore sources of education funding and how schools manage educational funding sources. This research is a descriptive qualifier to analyze the management of sources and the use of education financing at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Prambanan. Data analysis was carried out interactively using the Miles and Huberman method which includes data collection, data presentation, data reduction, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the principal of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Prambanan as the holder of authority, was very careful in extracting the main budget source from the parents. This prudence is evidenced by the determination of the budget by considering the aspirations of subordinates before it is decided to be the main reference for the implementation of the program for one school year. In managing education funds, school principals pay attention to aspects of regulations and rules set by the Muhamamdiyah association, especially by government laws..
