MODEL ORGANISASI KURIKULUM BERBASIS PESANTREN PADA MATA PELAJARAN PAI DI PONDOK PESANTREN RAUDHATUS SALAAM YOGYAKARTA
Abstract
This study aims to examine the curriculum organization model based on the pesantren system in the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subject at Pondok Pesantren Raudhatus Salaam Yogyakarta. As a systematic educational program, the curriculum plays a crucial role in shaping students' character and competencies, especially in the modern era, which demands a balance between religious and academic education. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive analysis method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. The findings indicate that the PAI curriculum at this pesantren adopts an integrated curriculum model, combining the National Education Ministry’s curriculum with the Kulliyataul Mu’allimin Al-Islamiyah (KMI) curriculum from Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor. This approach fosters synergy between national academic education and the unique Islamic teachings of pesantren. This model is relevant for further development within the context of Islamic education in Indonesia, particularly in addressing the challenge of integrating religious values with formal education requirements. This study contributes to the development of a more adaptive pesantren curriculum design and offers practical solutions for Islamic educational institutions to navigate contemporary challenges.Downloads
