The limited class time poses a significant challenge for the teachers, as they must cover vast and complex material. Therefore, effective learning media is needed to address this issue. Teachers can use WhatsApp as a learning tool to achieve efficient and effective learning. This research aims to investigate the usage of WhatsApp as a learning tool for Nahwu in 1st-Ulya at Anwarul Huda Islamic Boarding School in Malang. The research method employed is qualitative research with a case study approach. Data collection techniques involve direct observation, interviews, and literature review. Data analysis consists of several stages, including data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. The findings of this research are that WhatsApp is used in the study of "nahwu" (Arabic grammar) to convey the meaning of the book, summarise the material, provide examples, and address them. The advantages of using WhatsApp as a learning medium include efficient learning, flexible access to materials, and increased student participation in education. Challenges encountered using WhatsApp as a learning tool include the consistency of shared materials and the need for more discipline among students in using WhatsApp for studying. Therefore, material supervisors and student strategies for mandatory questioning and answering are necessary so that the material becomes structured with the company of supervisors and students become more disciplined. The WhatsApp application can be used as an assessment tool in learning, thus optimizing the use of WhatsApp.
