The Urgency of Developing English Language Skills In Children at Early Chidhood
Abstract
The introduction of English from an early age is a positive action in order to improve the quality of Indonesian human resources in facing the globalization. The purpose of this study was to determine the importance of developing English skill in early childhood. The research method was descriptive qualitative, the research subjects were 20 children at SAZ Kindergarten Pekanbaru. Research data were obtained through observation sheet, interview guidelines and documentation. Research results on the development of English in early childhood at SAZ Kindergarten Pekanbaru are introduced through methods that can support the learning process. So, it can run well and be fun through singing, playing and question and answer strategies.
