Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

Articles submitted to be published must be inline with:

  • must be scholarly original engage academic discussion of topics in the field of Qur'anic Studies.
  • should be unpublished, and not under review for possible publication in other journals.
  • may include a results of research, surveys, and a review of the book.
  • written in English, Arabic, or  Indonesia.
  • written in MS Word format, and submitted in soft copy at www.ejournal.unida.gontor.ac.id/index.php/quranika or via email at: jurnalstudiaquranika@gmail.com. by using a file attachment.
  • Possible to be edited and corrected by the editors with or without changing the content.
  • written in a sequence consists of a title, name of author, abstract, keywords, content, and bibliography.
    • The title should be concise and to the point, no more than 16 words
    • Abstract written in English and Indonesia or Arabic (for Arabic article). The abstract is between 200-250 words.
    • Keywords consist of 3-6 words.
    • Articles must be typed in 1,15 spaced on A4-paper size, using Palatino Lanotypre font, size 12, and in Arabic using Traditional Arabic font, size 18, the length of writing is about 5500-6000 words
    • Bibliographical reference must be noted in footnote and bibliography according to Chicago Manual of Style 17th edition (full note).

Footnote: 

    • When a source is cited for the first time, full information is provided: full name(s) of author(s), title of the source in italic, and write the place of publication, publishing company, and date of publication, and then the precise page that is cited.
    • For the following citations of the same source, list the full name(s) of author(s), title of the source in italic, and then the specific page number(s). The word ibid, op.cit., and loc.cit. are not used.
