Abstract

Car rental is a form of rental agreement that is common in society. However, there is an in-depth study of the Islamic legal perspective on car rental agreements and price determination that applies in the social and economic context of the people of Pulung Village, Pulung District, Ponorogo Regency. The type of research used is a qualitative approach using field research methods, namely by carrying out research directly in the community using data collection techniques through observation, interviews, participation and documentation.The results of this research indicate that car rental agreements and price determination at Baros Trans car rental are not in accordance with the perspective of Islamic law, car rental agreements are considered valid as long as the conditions stipulated by sharia are met, such as clarity of object, term and rental price. which is clearly stipulated at the beginning of the rental agreement. However, in practice there are several shortcomings that violate the principle of fairness in pricing, such as unclear car rental radius within 12 hours and additional rental fees. Rental owners are advised to increase transparency in pricing and ensure fair agreements in accordance with Islamic principles that prioritize justice and public benefit.
