Abstract

This research attempts to discuss the development of blockchain based crypto technology in Indonesia through the perspective of Islamic economic law, especially on the principles of maqashid sharia. The purpose of this research is to analyze the implications of crypto development in accordance with Islamic principles, provide recommendations for regulation and policy, and discuss the challenges and opportunities in implementing maqashid sharia in crypto. This research used a qualitative methodology, with a literature study approach. The results of this research, the importance of aligning the development of blockchain based crypto technology with fundamental sharia principles, by emphasizing transparency, economic justice, community welfare, and cooperation with sharia experts. The implementation of maqashid sharia in crypto development is essential to create a more inclusive and sustainable financial ecosystem in accordance with Islamic values. Effective regulation is essential to ensure compliance with sharia principles and protect users, with recommendations emphasizing the priority of sharia compliance in the development of crypto technology.
