Consequently, TikTok is now widely used as an information platform by various people, including politicians, artists, and transgender individuals. One such person is Ian Hugen, a transgender figure with 280,000 followers on his TikTok account. The aim of this research is to analyze comments that reflect society, particularly the Muslim community, regarding transgender identity and Islamic values concerning gender applied in public spaces. This study uses netnography and gender performativity theory to analyze the comments on Ian Hugen’s TikTok account. The research finds both positive and negative comments. The results show that positive comments are directed toward Ian Hugen by followers and netizens, praising him for his intelligence and creativity, as well as his feminine appearance as a transgender woman. Negative responses, on the other hand, reflect rejection of transgender identity as many netizens consider transgenderism to be a wrongful act that goes against religious teachings and violates divine laws. The study highlights the diversity of netizens’ opinions, ranging from strong opposition to empathy.
Fayza Maulina Putri Poppy Febriana Poppy Nur Maghfirah Aesthetika Copyright (c) 2025 2025-09-10 2025-09-10 8 01 1 19 10.21111/sjic.v8i01.13824 Pengaruh Iklim Komunikasi Organisasi Terhadap Motivasi Belajar Santri Language Courses Department Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor https://ejournal.unida.gontor.ac.id/index.php/sahafa/article/view/14856
A positive organizational communication climate is important in supporting the achievement of organizational goals, including increasing the motivation of its members. Banten West Jawa in Tanjung Lesung https://ejournal.unida.gontor.ac.id/index.php/sahafa/article/view/14896
This study aims to examine the Islamic-based disaster risk communication strategy implemented by PT. Banten West Java (BWJ) in developing the Tanjung Lesung tourist destination. As a tourist destination located in a disaster-prone area, a communication strategy is required that is not only technically effective but also grounded in religious values. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation. Three informants were selected based on the relevance of their roles in risk ommunication and destination management. The results show that PT. BWJ implements the five elements of Lasswell's communication model: institutional communicators, mitigation messages, media channels, target audiences, and communication impact. Islamic values such as ṣidq (honesty), amanah (responsibility), and maslahah (benefit) are reflected in information transparency, an early warning system, and mitigation education for tourists and the community. This strategy establishes a communication pattern that is ethical, participatory, and aligned with Islamic principles of life safety. These findings recommend integrating Islamic values into risk communication as a strategic approach to strengthening Islamic tourism destinations in disaster-prone areas
AnnisaRizki Rina Fitriana Copyright (c) 2025 2025-09-10 2025-09-10 8 01 49 64 10.21111/sjic.v8i01.14896 Analisis Framing Pemberitaan Operasi Badai Al-Aqsa Di Media Online Republika.Co.Id Dan Kompas.Com https://ejournal.unida.gontor.ac.id/index.php/sahafa/article/view/14893
This research aims to analyze how framing is done by both media outlets in reporting on Al-Aqsa Storm Operation. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive-comparative method. The analysis technique used is Robert N. Entman's framing model, which consists of four main elements: problem definition, cause identification, moral evaluation, and solution recommendation. The research object includes eleven news articles, 6 from Republika.co.id and 5 news articles from Kompas.com, published within a week after the Al-Aqsa Storm Operation. Data were collected through observation and documentation techniques. The research results show that Republika.co.id frames the Al-Aqsa Storm Operation as a form of Palestinian resistance against the Israeli occupation, using diction that highlights the struggle and suffering of the Palestinian people. Meanwhile, Kompas.com tends to highlight the escalation of the conflict and its general impact, focusing on the humanitarian aspects of both sides. These differences in framing are evident in the choice of titles, source quotations, and the moral perspectives used by each media outlet. This research concludes that media framing is heavily influenced by editorial orientation and the values they uphold. Republika appears to be more pro-Palestinian struggle, while Kompas strives to maintain a neutral position with a focus on humanitarian aspects.
Rahardian Anugrah Putra Veri Setiawan Copyright (c) 2025 2025-09-10 2025-09-10 8 01 65 73 10.21111/sjic.v8i01.14893 Visual strategy for da'wah on Instagram through infographics on the @Limproduction account https://ejournal.unida.gontor.ac.id/index.php/sahafa/article/view/14907
This study analyzes visual strategies for da'wah through infographics on the Instagram account @Limproduction, with the aim of exploring the effectiveness of using graphic design elements in conveying religious messages to digital audiences. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with content analysis according to Klaus Krippendorff, which allows researchers to identify patterns of da'wah communication in infographics. The results of the study indicate that visual elements such as images, colors, typography, and layout play an important role in increasing audience engagement and facilitating understanding of religious messages. Infographics designed with attractive designs can strengthen religious messages, make it easier for audiences to accept complex information, and build emotional closeness between the message sender and the audience. This study also found that the use of appropriate colors, relevant images, and clear typography can increase the appeal and understanding of da'wah messages. The implication of these findings is the importance of da'wah account managers on social media to understand audience dynamics and utilize graphic design that suits the preferences of digital audiences. Further research is recommended to explore the influence of other design elements, such as video or animation, in visual da'wah strategies on social media
Muhamad Taufiq Arridho Kun Wazis Win Usuluddin Robi'ah Machtumah Malayati Copyright (c) 2025 2025-09-10 2025-09-10 8 01 75 94 10.21111/sjic.v8i01.14907
