The conflict forced many of them to flee their homes, resulting in a population decline, and exposing them to a range of threats from surrounding countries, including human trafficking, slavery, organ sales, and other forms of exploitation. The primary objective of this research is to examine the role of UNICEF in protecting child victims of war in Ukraine due to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. To achieve this, the study uses a descriptive qualitative method, including data collection through literature reviews, including journals, books, and other related literature. It also applies the concepts of transnational crime and child protection as regional security analysis tools. The study's results reveal that child protection is essential to ensure children's rights are safeguarded, and they can live in a safe and stable environment, free from the dangers of war. To this end, UNICEF has been working closely with other international organizations, such as UNHCR, to provide support to refugee children through the Blue dots program. UNICEF has taken significant steps to mitigate the impact of the conflict on children, including providing emergency assistance, establishing temporary learning centers, and offering psychosocial support.
2023-12-30T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Arlief Arhevan https://ejournal.unida.gontor.ac.id/index.php/mediasi/article/view/11108 The Role of International Amnesty in China's Discrimination Conflict Against Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang 2018-2022 2023-12-19T09:02:03+07:00 Havez Al-Asad havez123mediasi@gmail.com Imam Zarkachi imamzarkachi123mediasi@gmail.com
One of the internal conflicts that occurred in the Chinese government was the human rights violations that occurred against ethnic Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang. Violations committed by the Chinese government include forced imprisonment, prohibition of freedom of religion, forced marriage and sexual harassment of women. Therefore, Amnesty International as a non-governmental organization that aims to promote and uphold human rights throughout the world, one of its roles is to protect the Uyghurs in Xinjiang. Amnesty International has played a role in addressing the Uyghur problem by taking action to interview victims of forced incitement by the Chinese government conducting several campaigns to lead public opinion about discrimination that occurs in China, and emphasizing the Chinese government that aims to reduce discrimination there and working with the world and international organizations to urge the Chinese government to reduce and minimize violence that occurs.
2023-12-30T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Havez Al-Asad, Imam Zarkachi https://ejournal.unida.gontor.ac.id/index.php/mediasi/article/view/10269 - ANALYSIS OF THE EFFECT OF THE AUKUS (AUSTRALIA, UNITED KINGDOM AND UNITED STATES OF AMERICA) DEFENSE PACT ON INDO-PACIFIC SECURITY 2023-07-18T10:23:32+07:00 Mohammad Damayantar Etnik Batudoka mohdamayantaretnikbutudoka@mhs.unida.gontor.ac.id
The AUKUS (Australia, United Kingdom, and the United States of America) Defense Pact, inaugurated on September 15, 2021, has affected countries in the Indo-Pacific Region. Therefore, researchers use the perspective of Defensive Realism to explain the impact of North Korea's nuclear development during Kim Jong Un's reign on the security stability of the Korean Peninsula in the period 2017 to 2021. The methods used are qualitative methods and literature analysis. The results showed that North Korea's nuclear development during the reign of Kim Jong Un had a significant impact on the security stability of the Korean Peninsula. This impact is in the form of increased security threats such as an arms race. Based on the analysis, it can be said that North Korea's nuclear development during the reign of Kim Jong Un has important implications for the security stability of the Korean Peninsula in the long run. Therefore, there needs to be a concerted effort to address this issue and ensure regional security stability.
2023-12-30T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Annas Abdul Hakim, Imam Zarkachi
