Author Guidelines

AUTHOR GUIDELINES


Submitted article must be in line with:

1.    Scholarly original engages academic discussion of topics in the
field of Islamic thoughts.

2.    Should be unpublished, and not under review for possible publication in other journals.

3.    May include a results of research, surveys, and a review of the book.

4.    Written in English, Arabic, or Bahasa Indonesia.

5.    The Manuscript should be prepared according to the following author guidelines and Template.

6.    Possible to be edited and corrected by the editors without changing the content.

7.    Written in a sequence consists of a title, name of author, abstract,
keywords, content, and bibliography.
a)    The title should be concise and to the point, no more than 12 words
b)    Abstract written in English and Bahasa containing a summary of the article that describes an introduction of article, methods, and conclusions. The abstract is between 150-200 words.
c)    Keywords consist of 4-8 words.
d)    Articles’ length is about 15-20 pages.
e)    Articles must be typed in one-half spaced on A4-paper size, using Times New Roman font, size 12.
f)    Authors are responsible for using reference management applications such as MENDELEY or ZOTERO. JCSR: uses The Chicago Manual of Style 16th Edition as writing style of citation.

Additional Information
JCSR uses footnote as a style of citation. It written at the bottom
of article. Here is the way to write footnote;
•    When a source is cited for the first time, full information     is provided: full name(s) of author(s), title of the source in italic, and write into brackets place of publication, publishing company, and date of publication, and then the precise page that is cited.
•    For the following citations of the same source, list the full name(s) of author(s), two or three words of the title, three full stops and comma, and then the specific page number(s). The word ibid. may be used, but op.cit., and loc.cit. are not.

Transliteration Guidelines Arabic Romanization in JCSR refers to the transliteration system of Library of Congress (LC) combined with the model of Department of Religious Affairs of Indonesia which based on Joint Decree Letter between Ministry of Religious Affairs and Ministry of Education and Cultural.
